Because Photoshop deals in bitmap images as opposed to vector graphics, and that multi-colored bitmap images are translated into process colors, we cannot accept multi-color Photoshop files. There are in fact ways of "tricking" Photoshop into printing spot colors, but these processes normally do not produce acceptable results.
